The Wine Director oversees the wine program for the Brush Creek Ranch Luxury Collection. He/she is responsible for all planning and execution of wine related events and programs. He/she will manage a team of Sommeliers.
-Planning and execution of the wine program for the Lodge at Brush Creek Ranch, French Creek Sportsmen Club and The Farm.-Consultation of the wine program at the Magee Homestead.-Assist F&B leadership with planning and execution of all wine events or events with a wine component. - Manage a team of Sommeliers to execute wine service during dinner meal periods.-Execute or assist in the execution of wine service during scheduled dinner meal periods. -Consult with F&B leadership on the training the waitstaff on general wine knowledge and wine service.-Oversee wine specific glassware inventory and make purchases accordingly.-Managing lists, inventory of wine selections, and doing BIN/vintage product checks.-Purchase product for all wine lists across the Brush Creek Ranch Collection.-Participate in all forecast and P&L meetings with BCR senior leadership and BCR accounting department. -Monitor beverage cost for the BCR collection and make adjustments to meet specific financial goals.
-3+ years of experience as a sommelier or wine steward(ess)-Experience within the winemaking industry-Certification as a sommelier-Detailed knowledge of hotel/restaurant finances including reading P&L reports-3+ years of experience as a people manager-Must be able to carry 30+ lbs
