Summary:

The Activities Director at the Brush Creek Ranch is responsible for the capable delivery of goods and services in the areas of all recreational sporting experiences on Brush Creek Ranch lands. The Director of Activities should anticipate working a six day schedule as BCR is a seasonal operation, with occasional 5 day work weeks when business and staffing levels allows.


Responsibilities



* The Activities team is in complete communication as far as delivery of the BCR Service Strategy.

* Is responsible to write or approve effective schedules that practice the "Bubble Theory" for Fly Fishing Guides, all staff members of FCSC, Gun Range Attendants, Wingshooting Department, along with the leadership team.

* Ensures all inbound sales inquiries are responded to within the timeframes established in the Service Strategy.

* At minimum, has departmental meeting with his/her team once weekly. This is outside the standard daily stand-up.

* Responsible for all outfitter related programming and daily execution.

* Is in charge of sales and booking related to sporting experiences

* Responsible for all aspects of the guest experience at French Creek Sportsman Club

* Guiding guests on fly fishing, wingshooting, and big game hunting trips

* Acts as the BCR "River Keeper" which includes monitoring stream/pond health and suggesting improvement projects to continue the sustainable resource.

* Coordinating fishing options for all of Brush Creek Ranches properties and options available to guests among all 3 rancher(BCR, Magee, FCSC)

* Assist the Sanger Caretaker and Asst. Ranch Manager in projects that relate to sporting experiences and land use.

* Ensures the sporting experiences advertised on our website and social media outlets are representative and up-to date to our experiences

* Ensures his/hers uniforms, and his/her hygiene is of the utmost quality and ensures each front and back of the house service member is held to the same quality.

* Through the Director of Services and the ranch’s Lead Mechanic, maintains the par level and the mechanical ready-state of all vehicles within the department. Ensures there is a standard and schedule set for interior and exterior cleaning

* Is a team player and breaks down departmental boundary lines. Assists other departments when needed.

* Plays an active role as an ambassador of the ranch. Take the opportunity to get to know our guests

* Maintains an accurate record of his department’s full time leadership and 12 month associates work weeks for the (25) weeks of season to track accordingly any 6th or 7th day worked during the season. These days are credited back to the leader or associate in the form of a Balance Day Off and taken as they are accrued (1-2 a week). Maximum is (25) days annually.

* Is responsible for the Activities department, maintain accurate and current payables checkbook accounting. Expenses to be kept to budget but when overages occur, a "want" vs. "need" decision-making basis is applied.

* Is responsible to review the monthly P & L statement and critique variances to budget of the applicable % or $$ amount.

* Responsible to maintain the staffing levels. Is proactive in developing recruiting strategies to address and solve any in-season staffing deficiencies as well as the off-season Recruitment plan for the upcoming season
