Job Description


Summary:

The Purchasing Agent will perform all aspects of the purchasing process for new hotel openings, renovations, and capital expenditures of existing hotels.


Responsibilities



* Generate purchase orders for FF&E pro-opening, interior & exterior signage, laundry & kitchen equipment that relates to hotel openings
* Log all purchase orders to track costs & budget compliance
* Vendor bid comparison and price negotiation to assure best possible pricing while minimally adhering to or exceeding specification
* Utilize checklist for each hotel opening to assure all product is ordered and in a timely fashion
* Follow up with vendors on all purchase orders to assure accuracy & timeliness according to delivery schedule
* Prepare receiving reports on a job-by-job basis
* Supervise installation of product into the hotel for proper placement & quality of product
* Prepare, follow up, and complete an accurate punch list for all guestrooms and public areas
* Provide support for Project & Asset Management
* Perform all aspects of the Capital Expenditure process for existing hotels, accurately, on a timely basis and must conform to WLS best practices
* Travel required
