Job Description


Summary:

The mechanic position is responsible for the repair work and maintenance of cars, trucks, off-terrain, and other motorized vehicles in the company's fleet.


Responsibilities


-General vehicle service knowledge; oil changes, tire rotations, air filter changes, brake work, etc.
-Knowledge of different small engine vehicles/machinery including ATV’s, Rangers, Snowmobiles and diesel engines
-Perform maintenance on all off-terrain vehicles (ATV’s, Rangers, Tractors, Snowmobile, etc.)
-Inspect all ranch vehicle’s mechanical components and engines
-Repair and replace malfunctioning parts and systems such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, transmissions, and other mechanical parts.
-Test drive vehicles to confirm safe and proper operation
-Moving equipment to different properties by truck, utilizing trailer and straps; also, the ability to use skid steers to move larger items.
-Operating machinery for road maintenance including snow plowing and pot holes.
-Welding knowledge is a plus
-Performs other related duties assigned from leadership.


Other Information

Requirements
-High school diploma or equivalent.
-Extensive knowledge of all aspects of vehicle repair
-Excellent mechanical repair skills
-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Ability to read service and repair manuals
-Proficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software.
-Automotive Service Excellence certification preferred

Physical Requirements
-Must be able to lift 50lbs or more
-Must be able to stand 8+ hours a day
-Must be able to drive a manual transmission
