Summary:

To reach White Lodging’s vision to build and sustain the deepest and most capable management team in the hospitality industry, the Market Recruiter will carry out the company recruiting strategy on a local level. The overall goal is to lower the number of open positions and time to fill open jobs.


Responsibilities


* Work with Director of Talent Acquisition and properties to carry out White Lodging recruiting strategy.
* Facilitate and effective Boots on the Ground Recruiting strategy - teach properties how to fish. Train leaders on how to continuously recruit.
* Work with properties on writing and executing recruiting plans.
* Work with hiring managers on workforce planning and needs.
* Connect properties to appropriate associates to fix
* Work with the properties on market college recruiting and grad placement.
* Source and screen key positions based on market need.
* Oversee virtual bench in the region. Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need.
* Assist with talent summits.
* Check-in regularly with property managers & employees to establish rapport, gauge morale & source candidates.
* Adjust recruiting activities to forecasted and immediate manpower needs.
* Work with hotel leaders and HR departments to promote associate referral program.
* Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate sourcing. Explore market best practices in recruitment and staffing and implement appropriate best practices for cluster.
* Connect properties with community-based organizations and help properties to develop overall strategy for using CBOs to build applicant base.
* Use social media and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates.
* Develop relationships within local colleges and trade schools to aid in recruiting.
* Build networks to find qualified passive candidates.
* Make wage and benefits recommendations as needed.
* Monitor and reduce the costs of recruitment process.
* When possible, assist GM’s with management screening and interviewing.
* Aid in public relations by establishing a reputation for White Lodging as a recognizable employer of choice.
* Follow through with new associates to ensure satisfaction with job. Take learnings to property and regional leaders to encourage actions to create a better workplace.
* Perform other duties as directed by the Corporate Director of Talent Acquisition.

* Working knowledge of the Hotel and F&B processes.
* Working knowledge of the right type of candidates.
* Proficient and using and teaching the company’s Applicant Tracking System.
* Strong recruitment training skills.
* Strong relationship skills.
* Strong skills at conducting effective interviews.
* Strong 1:1 relationship skills.
* Flexibility to shift focus at the direction of Corporate Director and/or Corporate VP.
* Professional, hospitable demeanor.
* Strong Organization Skills.
* Strong skills in MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Effective working knowledge of Human Resources law and the ability to apply that law to daily situations.
* Understanding of employment marketing.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

* 4-year college degree and/or equivalent work experience.
* 3 years hotel or F&B operations experience.
