Responsibilities


What You'll Do


  • Oversee the daily care and well-being of the goat herd, ensuring optimal health and nutrition.
  • Perform and manage daily milking operations, including sanitation and maintenance of milking equipment.
  • Monitor herd health, including administering medications, vaccinations, and working with veterinarians as needed.
  • Maintain and clean barns, pens, and pasture areas to promote a healthy living environment.
  • Train, supervise, and mentor seasonal staff in animal care and farm operations.
  • Assist with breeding, kidding, and newborn goat care, including bottle-feeding as needed.
  • Manage feed inventory, ensuring goats have consistent access to fresh water and high-quality nutrition.
  • Maintain and repair livestock handling equipment and farm infrastructure.
  • Lead guest experiences, including educational tours and interactive demonstrations.

What You'll Bring


  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving farm operations.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Experience in dairy goat management, milking, or animal husbandry preferred.
  • Veterinary knowledge and previous experience working with goats are a plus.
