Summary:

Fly Fishing Guides concentrate their daily efforts on safely guiding and instructing our guests on a multitude of waters. We have 6 still water ponds, over 20 miles of private water, and also utilize public waters as well. As an ORVIS endorsed lodge, we supply all of the necessities for our guests including rods, reels, waders, boots, boats, vehicles and more.


Responsibilities


As a guide you must obtain a strong knowledge and passion for the sport of fly fishing, be able to teach others, have a strong work ethic and also be able to provide intimate knowledge of the surrounding area, flora, fauna, and natural history. Drift boat and raft rowing skills are not necessary but preference is given to those guides that are adequate oarsmen. Other duties include assisting with maintaining our facilities, equipment, guest transportation, luggage, and guiding other activities. Guides must have a clean driving record and have a First Aid/CPR certification and pass a background check and drug screening. Most positions start in early May and end at the end of October. Compensation includes a salary wage, service fee(end of year bonus), and room/board.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

* Must have previous guiding experience and strong instructional techniques
* Rowing experience desired but not required
