Director of Talent Development

Job Description


The Director of Talent Development will lead the team to manage the training and learning management processes for White Lodging. This role will partner with the senior leadership team at the Corporate Office, as well as leadership within the properties, to identify learning opportunities, develop content, and deliver the programs across the portfolio. This role will report directly to the Vice President of Organizational Capability.


* Oversee the planning and execution of the strategies within the Talent Development department.
* Partner with operations to identify areas of opportunity for learning for all hourly, management, and senior level associates
* Evaluate effectiveness of current training programs and make recommendations based on analytics
* Maximize technology of the learning platform and evaluate effectiveness
* Ensure training supports performance improvement and the company’s overall goals.
* Create and support tools that communicate career growth and development in the company.
* Responsible for metrics such as program compliance and training completion
* Support organizational growth by overseeing the training of all new hotels and restaurants
* Lead the Talent Development team and mentor/support their growth

Other Information


* College degree required
* Extensive experience in Training or Development roles is preferred
* Extensive experience in developing Training or Development programs is preferred
* Extensive experience in eLearning development is preferred
* Previous hospitality experience preferred


* This role will be based out of our Merrillville, Indiana corporate office.
* Travel required as needed
