The Senior Manager, Compensation is accountable for the delivery of White Lodging’s Compensation strategy, programs, policies, and processes. This strategic and highly analytical leader will collaborate effectively across Human Resources, Finance, and the Business. They will manage and oversee White Lodging’s Compensation Framework, Annual Pay Review Process, Job/Position Architecture, FLSA Evaluations, and Ad-Hoc Requests. The Senior Manager, Compensation will report directly to the Senior Director, Total Rewards.
Responsibilities
Compensation Partner*Serve as a collaborative and active partner to the Senior Director, Total Rewards and Chief Human Resources Officer*Engages with Business Leaders to understand their needs and consult with them on compensation matters*Builds effective external relationships with third party consulting firms to ensure White Lodging remains competitiveCompensation Strategy*Partners with the Human Resources Leadership Team and White Lodging’s Executive Committee to align our Compensation Philosophy and related strategy*Researches and stays abreast of influences within the external marketplace*Effectively links White Lodging’s compensation strategy to business outcomes*Initiates and manages compensation projects designed to motivate and reward for performanceCompensation Processes*Owns the management and continuous improvement of White Lodging’s Compensation Policy*Completes hourly and salaried job grade reviews and refreshes the data for entire Company, using external sources*Plans for and drives the Annual Pay Review process, including merit and short-term incentives*Partners with Senior Director, Total Rewards and Chief Human Resources Officer on executive compensation programs*Partners with Finance to deliver Short-term and Long-term Incentive programs to relevant participants*Develops and executes compensation equity programs and processes*Works with Vice President, Organization Capability and Sr. Director, Field Human Resources to ensure proper linkages exist between talent/performance management processes and rewards*Partners with Sr. Director, Total Rewards to review and align Total Rewards to the marketCompensation Committee*Supports the Chief Human Resources Officer and Sr. Director, Total Rewards to drive an effective Compensation Committee agenda*Prepares materials and records decisions and actions for Compensation Committee meetings*Delivers projects prioritized by the Compensation CommitteeJob Evaluation & Maintenance*Owns the overarching Job and Position Management approach*Creates and delivers processes to ensure job are evaluated and correctly classified per Department of Labor rules*Maintains the Job and Position framework to ensure its effectiveness through data accuracy*Responsible for maintaining White Lodging’s job description databaseRecognition Programs*Owns White Lodging’s approach to recognition, including milestone anniversaries and performance rewardsContinuous Improvement*Embeds continuous improvement into every aspect of their scope of responsibilities*Actively seeks feedback from other stakeholders and incorporates into processes and proceduresHuman Resources Capability*Takes time to educate, coach and support Human Resources and Business Leaders on compensation matters
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE *Bachelor’s degree required*Human Resources Management certification or Compensation Designation required within one year from hire date
