Job Description




* Ability to read drawings, specification packages and take offs
* Have knowledge of building construction of both residential and commercial
* Create drawings, diagrams to prepare project layouts, create scope of work, determine cost and materials needs
* Conduct repair work and installation of doors, windows, drywall, cabinets, stairs, and other fixtures as required
* Have a knowledge of wood types, products, stains, paints and finishes
* Build and repair various wooden fixtures that are inside and outside using woodworking machines, carpenter’s hand tools, or power tools
* Ability to assess the quality of woodwork and materials
* Ability to operate hand and power tools, machines, and other equipment
* Compliance with local building codes, health and safety regulations, and follow established safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe and clean environment
* Maintain records, document actions, and present written progress reports
* Ability to stand for prolonged periods, climb, pull, and lift heavy objects
* Perform other general maintenance tasks as needed

Other Information

* High school diploma
* Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or a minimum of 4 years of experience
* Additional certification may be required
* Good communication skills
* Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination
* Knowledge of mathematics
