This is a highly visible and key role responsible for delivering the initial warm welcome greeting to guests while performing the successful set-up, service, and tear down of all Banquet Bars and Receptions. This person is responsible for assisting the Banquet Captain in the successful ownership and operational execution of all Banquet Functions and duties.




Responsibilities



• Meets and exceeds customer expectations.

• Follows department standards with regards to portion control, cost control, and profit maximization.

• Communicates effectively with customers, co-workers and supervisors.

• Attends work on time as scheduled and adheres to attendance policy.

• Must be able to read an Event Order and know how to complete the required set-up for various bar types and receptions.

• Knows the ingredients and recipes for all classic cocktails as well as trendy cocktails.

• Keeps Bar and surrounding areas neat and clean during set-up, service, and tear down.

• Cleans banquet room and banquet bar area during and after banquet functions.

• Greets and serves guests, following guidelines for “Aggressive Hospitality” and all other details of our policies and procedures regarding the service of food and beverage.









Other Information



SKILLS


• 3 or more years of previous banquet experience, preferably in a four-diamond property.

• Minimum of 19 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages & must have a retain a state issued liquor license

• Knows the ingredients and recipes for all classic cocktails as well as trendy cocktails.

• Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with Guests, Management, Staff and co-workers to their understanding

• Ability to provide legible, written communication

• Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations

• Knowledge of effective office organizational practices

• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality



EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE


• Previous bartending experience needed
