Job Description


Summary:

A lead activity guide will have a specific knowledge in one of the following activities: ropes challenge course, archery, mountain biking, and rock climbing. This individual will be the first called upon to guide their respective activity, but also must be cross-functional.


Responsibilities


A lead guide will be responsible for maintenance, upkeep, inventory, and organization of their equipment. Lead guides will share the responsibility of daily chores, guiding, and odd jobs with the other guides. The lead guide shares all the same responsibilities and duties as a level 2 guide, but will have additional responsibilities related to their respective activity. Guides must have a clean driving record and have a First Aid/CPR certification and pass a background check and drug screening. Most positions start in early May and end at the end of October. Compensation includes a salary wage, service fee(end of year bonus), and room/board.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

* Preference given to applicants with experience in a wide range of outdoor skills (hiking, mountain biking, ropes challenge courses, zip lines, paintball, Polaris ranger tours, etc.), although experience is not required.
